The Seattle Seahawks are on a mission. Attempting to win their second consecutive Super Bowl, they must first defeat the New England Patriots. A classic matchup of offense vs. defense. The Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL, but many questions still remain.

Here are five big questions for the Seahawks.

1. How Will Receivers Play?

Many fans didn't like it when the team traded star wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets in October. Obviously, it hasn't had a very negative effect as the Seahawks have played just fine without him. Still, without Sidney Rice and Harvin, the Seahawks don't have the best set of receivers. Doug Baldwin will most likely be covered by Darrelle Revis, and tight end Jermaine Kearse will have to get open for short reliable throws. The Patriots pass defense ranked No. 17 in the NFL during the regular season.

2. Will Russell Wilson Bounce Back?

Russell Wilson is by far one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the league, and he proved that once again in the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers. Despite playing the worst game of his career, Wilson made the big plays down the stretch to win the game. But, that won't work this time. Wilson is going to have to be much more consistent throughout the game to ensure a Seahawks victory. Wilson is a very mobile quarterback who can beat you with both his arms and legs. Last year, Wilson played very well in the Super Bowl with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

3. Will We See Deceptive Pete Carroll?

Head coach Pete Carroll can beat you in a lot ways. The turning point in the NFC Championship game was the fake field goal that led to a touchdown in the third quarter. Could we see an onside kick like we saw from Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints against the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 Super Bowl? We may even see Carroll go for a few fourth down conversions.

4. Will The 12th Man Show Up?

Everyone knows the Seahawks have one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. The Seahawks won't be playing at Century Link Field against the Patriots, but their fans do travel very well. In last year's Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, Seahawks fans made their presence felt despite the fact that their home stadium was nearly 3,000 miles away. This year the Super Bowl will be in Glendale, Arizona, which, of course, is much closer to Seattle than Foxborough, Massachusetts, but Cardinals fans may root against their division rival.

5. How Will they Defend "Gronk?"

When healthy, Robert Gronkowski is the best tight end in the NFL. Well, Gronkowski has been pretty healthy this year leading the Patriots in receiving yards with 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns. Obviously Gronkowski isn't a deep threat, but he creates matchup issues for opposing defenses because of his size, skills and route running abilities. Gronkowski will be asked to block at times, but head coach Bill Belichick will try to get the ball in his hands a lot in the slot area to move the chains and get first downs. So far the "Legion of Boom" defense has shown they can shut down just about anybody.
