Bobby Brown is pleading for privacy as his daughter remains in an Atlanta hospital after being found unconscious in the bathtub of her home over the weekend.

"Privacy is requested in this matter," Brown said in a statement regarding the condition of his and Whitney Houston's only daughter, 21-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

E! Online reports the Brown family has been told to prepare for the worse as Bobbi Kristina Brown lies in a medically induced coma after being found by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend when they returned to the couple's home early Saturday.

Doctors have told the family the longer Brown remains unconscious, the graver her condition is expected to become. Several media outlets have also reported she is now breathing with the help of a ventilator.

It's been nearly three years since Whitney Houston was found unconscious in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub and later pronounced dead of an accidental drowning. An autopsy later concluded such factors as heart disease and cocaine also contributed to her death.

Late Saturday, a source claimed it was "no coincidence" Bobbi Kristina has suffered a fate similar to that of her mother, and drugs may have also been involved in the case of the younger Brown.

The source added Bobbi Kristina's struggles are "a lot deeper than everyone cane see."

According to People.com, Bobbi Brown remains "inconsolable."

"This is his worst nightmare," a source said. "Losing Whitney was hard, but this is a million times worse. And to lose her in the same way would devastate him."
