Apparently, Jennifer Lopez has extended Beyonce an invitation to join her on the "American Idol" stage this season in Las Vegas.

HollywoodLife.com reports the two divas hung out together for much of the evening during Vanity Fair Oscars after party Sunday night. And when they weren't fixating on their kids, all their talk reportedly was focused on a possible collaboration between the two.

"They dabbled in a few areas, mostly kids' stuff, the happenings of the night and what they were individually working on," a source told the website. "Beyonce was actually interested in Jen's upcoming Vegas residency and congratulated her on that because Beyoncé would like to do that in the future. And when the conversation came to a close Jennifer mentioned that Beyoncé should come to her show to perform at some point this season, obviously meaning 'American Idol'."

The warm exchange between the two megastars is a difference from what was reported to have occurred when they came face-to-face at the Video Music Awards just six months ago. Back then, J.Lo dared to leave right in the middle of Beyonce's 20-minute set. Star Magazine reports Lopez and her entire entourage made their way for the exits as the BeyHive continued to belt out.

"It was incredibly rude of her to leave in the middle of Beyonce's performance," said a source. "She sat through the entire two hour show, but then decided that she couldn't stand to wait for five minutes to finish watching the most impressive show of the night."

Others source hinted that Lopez almost looked gleeful as she strutted out, even as other audience members clearly expressed their dismay.

"People were rolling their eyes as she made her way backstage because she was blocking their view and they were missing the highly anticipated performance."
