TLC executives have reportedly warned the family of former network child star Honey Boo Boo that they will seek legal action against her if she follows through with rumored plans to release her first song and potentially sign on with a new network.

According to TMZ, TLC execs recently sent the family an ultimatum stipulating that they are not allowed to work for another entertainment company until the deal she is still bonded by with them runs its course over the next three months.

TLC ended its relationship with the family and canceled her "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" show after her mother, Mama June, began dating a convicted child molester who allegedly sexually abused one of her relatives. Mama June and Mark McDaniel, who was recently released from prison after serving 10 years for engaging in a sex act with an 8-year-old, had been secretly dating for a while, reports say.

Several media outlets recently reported the family has started shopping a new version of the show to other networks, and Honey Boo Boo has even recorded a song entitled "Movin Up." TLC reportedly plans to take the family to court if they persist in their efforts to land a new deal before their contract runs out. Reportedly, the network has already paid the family for an entire year of shows it doesn't plan to ever air.

"Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority, a TLC exec told TMZ at the time of cancellation. "TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

Meanwhile, Mama June has continued to deny that she has dated McDaniel, even though TMZ recently posted a photo of the two together in a hotel room.
