A new colorway of the signature sneaker of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is about to hit the market this week and is expected to make waves like the previous editions of the popular model.

Nike will release the KD 7 on Thursday in Emerald Green/Dark Emerald/Total Orange/Metallic Silver colorway, which is named "Weatherman" edition – a familiar name to sneakerheads who have been following previous KD models.

The KD 7 "Weatherman" edition, which is quite similar to a previous colorway of the KD 4 released in 2011, features a green-based upper part combined with total orange midfoot strap, laces, KD logo on the tongue and KD signature on the insole of the sneaker.

This edition also features a Doppler radar-inspired graphic design on the Hyperposite heel and a visible Nike Air unit. It is finished off with a dark emerald midsole and total orange outsole. According to Nike, the design was inspired by Durant's ambition to become a weatherman during his childhood.

"Each colorway of the KD7 reveals a piece of Durant's life story," Nike wrote. "The weather-themed storyline was revealed last June as part of the shoe's overall inspiration connected to lightning and thunder, building on the legacy that began with the KD 4 Weatherman in 2011."

The KD 7 "Weatherman" will be available starting Thursday at 10 a.m. EST, with retail price set at $150 per pair on Nike.com and select Nike retailers worldwide. Official photos of this new KD 7 shoe are available here.

Meanwhile, Nike SB fans will also get a treat this week with the release of a new colorway of the Stefan Janoski Max L on Wednesday, 10 a.m. EST.

The Stefan Janoski Max L will come out in Black/Cool Grey/Metallic Cool Grey, which is listed as the NYC edition. It features a black-based upper part with metallic cool grey Nike Swoosh logo, and it is finished off with a grey sole. According to Nike, this edition was inspired by the streets of New York City, particularly the ubiquitous iron disks in the area.

"A custom New York sewer cap emblem adorns the footbed of this premium Black leather Janoski Max while the embroidered Metallic Cool Grey Swoosh and speckled outsole echo the rugged utility of the city that never sleeps," Nike noted.

The Stefan Janoski Max L 'NYC' will be available for $110 on Nike.com and select skate shops. Official photos of this new kick are available on this link.
