HTC wowed fans by unveiling many products at Sunday's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, including the highly anticipated One M9 smartphone, a fitness band and a virtual reality headset, reports CNET.

Turns out some of the rumors were right -- HTC's new One M9 sports a metal body. It comes in silver with a gold sidewall, gunmetal grey with a mirrored grey banding and gold-on-gold. The 5-inch screen is perfected with sapphire glass. A 20-megapixel camera graces the back while 5.1 surround sound speakers set at the front. Snapdragon 810, Qualcomm's newest processor, completes the high-end smartphone.

"This is our third generation of our iconic design," HTC CEO Peter Chou told the conference audience. "People say M8 is the most beautiful smartphone on the market, but we wanted to strive higher."

The M9 also features HTC Sense 7, an Android skin for handset personalization. There's a theme generator on board that enables you to use a photo to create a custom theme. The generator even analyzes the image to recommend the overall system theme. The suggestions are automated and you can edit all of the options.

HTC announced at the Mobile World Congress that the One M9 will go on sale March 31 in a number of markets, including the U.S. The price tag, however, was not revealed.

The Taiwanese company also revealed its variant in the virtual reality sector with the Vive, a lightweight headset powered by SteamVR that promises users vivid, lifelike sights, sounds and images in new realities. "Imagine standing on the bridge of a starship rocketing across the galaxy, or strolling through the streets of ancient Rome, or shrinking down to subatomic size and watching molecules collide," the Vive website reads.

"We believe that VR will totally transform the way we interact with the world. It will become a mainstream experience," Chou said.

The Vive headset is expected to be released for purchase by the end of the year. No retail price has been announced.

Lastly, HTC unveiled the Grip, a GPS-enabled fitness band it developed in collaboration with Under Armour. The wearable can track everything from walking to a gym session. The Grip will work on the Appel iOS and Google Android operating systems, plus you can connect it to your smartphone for call or notification alerts.

The HTC fitness band will be a U.S.-only product arriving in the spring at a retail price of $199.
