In the past two episodes of "Secrets and Lies," Ben Crawford has pointed the accusatory flashlight at the Richardsons and Lisa's families for Tom's murder. Kevin and Elaine Williams -- and probably even Jess, herself -- better watch what they do or say.

With five weeks until the season finale, it seems unlikely for the killer to be revealed so soon.

On Sunday's "Secrets and Lies" Episode 5, "The Jacket," Ben focused his personal investigation into Tom's death on neighbor Lisa Daly's family. He and Abby were going shopping when they spotted Matt, Lisa's mentally disabled son, walking into the woods. Ben sent his daughter home and chased Matt into the woods. Matt fell, dropping a bloody blue jacket, but scrambled to his feet and ran into the river. Ben knows the jacket is a piece of evidence, but he ignored it to pull a panicked Matt from the river. Matt fled home with Ben hot on his heels. Lisa stopped Ben from following Matt inside. Ben noticed her bruised lip. He told her what happened. Lisa said that Matt doesn't have a blue jacket. Ben returned to the woods to get the jacket, but it is gone.

When Ben returned to his home, Abby ran in from outside asking if he was ready to go. Could Abby have been the person to pick up the bloody blue jacket?

Ben visited Detective Cornell to report the bloody blue jacket incident and witnessed a hysterical woman screaming, "You destroyed my husband!" at a stone-faced Cornell.

When Cornell pooh-poohed his blue jacket story, Ben decided to search the woods again and crossed paths with Tyler, Lisa's other bad-boy son. (You may recall that Lisa had told everyone Tyler wasn't coming home for Christmas.) Ben noticed scabbed scratches on Tyler's hands and that he smoked.

Dave later told Ben that Tyler's been in and out of rehab, making Ben focus more on Tyler.

As if Ben doesn't have enough on his plate, Christy continues to give him mixed signals. She treated him to a romp in the sack, but later left the house dressed to kill to see "a client" without her wedding ring.

Someone painted "guilty" on the side of Christy's car. Guilty for Tom's murder, or something else? Ben discovered a cigarette like the one Tyler smokes next to the car.

Cornell is called to the scene. She discovered the paint used in the Crawford's previous fence tagging and the car vandalism are both in Ben's garage.

The next morning, Ben found a blood trail leading to the garage. When he opened the door, roughly 30 flashlights are standing up on their ends. Cornell showed up because received a text from Ben's phone. She treated the flashlight display as a crime scene.

Later, Ben went to Lisa's home, which was ransacked. Lisa refused to speak with him, but he pushed past her and went to Matt's room where he found Matt rocking back-and-forth, upset and creepy drawing of the neighbors (little Tom, too) hung on the wall. There was also a box of cigarette wrappers that Tyler uses. Ben searched the room for the blue jacket. Matt snapped and pushed Lisa to the floor. Tyler ran into the room and comforts his brother with hug.

Ben suspected Matt in Tom's death. He wanted to call the police, but Lisa won't let him. She said Matt is acting out due to stress. She insisted he did not kill Tom.

We also learned that Lisa is hiding Tyler because he was involved in a hit and run.

Ben attempted to convince Cornell that Matt is the murderer. Cornell reminded Ben that Matt hates the rain (it rained the night Tom was killed), plus Matt's GPS bracelet proves he was at home that night.

The following day, Cornell showed up with Cooper, Natalie's bitter boyfriend. He was the vandal responsible for the fence and car tagging.

The blood-trail-to-garage-of-flashlights was not committed by Cooper, Cornell told Ben. Who did it remains a mystery.

In the final scene, which is the next night, Ben climbed into his truck at a parking garage. He received an anonymous text that reads, "You will pay for your sins." The power suddenly went out in his truck. The power doors automatically locked. The garage lights switched off. Ben is trapped.
