Kendrick Lamar recently sparked engagement rumors with his high school sweetheart of more than 10 years, Whitney Alford.

The Compton emcee was spotted at a meet-and-greet with his girlfriend over the weekend, celebrating the successful release of his highly acclaimed sophomore studio album, "To Pimp a Butterfly."

A photo of K. Dot shaking hands with a fan surfaced online -- the image also sees Alford standing next to him, rocking what appeared to be a large diamond bling on her left ring finger. Check out the recent snapshot below:

"The Blacker the Berry" rapper, who is good at keeping his personal life on the down low, addressed the relationship with his longtime lover during several interviews in the past.

For instance, Lamar told Billboard in January: "I wouldn't even call her my girl. That's my best friend. I don't even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion -- she's somebody I can tell my fears to."

The Billboard interview actually followed the TDE artist's chat with Erykah Badu for Interview magazine back in 2013, in which he revealed that he has a "main" woman, admitting she was his "a**hole-checker."

"The main one is a friend of mine -- a lady friend who has known me since high school," he said. "She has always been someone, since day one, who has said something whenever I'm an a**hole, or also if I'm doin' something positive -- but more so when I'm out of my element."

Kendrick Lamar added that Whitney Alford is not a typical entourage "yes man" like others:

"While you have people who are actually fronting for your needs and wants, sometimes your needs and wants may not be right for you. The people around you are just trying to keep their jobs."
