Colin Farrell makes a shocking confession on the Ellen DeGeneres daytime talk show. The actor revealed that his last love was none other than the legendary Elizabeth Taylor.

Elizabeth passed away in 2011 at the age of 79, Colin explains that two years before that he became very close friends with the glamorous icon. Known for her acting, her love for diamonds and her numerous marriages, Elizabeth Taylor made a huge mark in Hollywood. "It was kind of like the last, it feels like in my head, not her, I'm projecting, but the last kind of romantic relationship I had, which was never consummated", Colin said. The actor admits that he "wanted to be number eight" in her string of marriages but that they "ran out of road". Colin, 37, says he really loved the late actress.

The two first met at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Colin was there for the birth of his son and Elizabeth was there for an operation. He sent his good wishes to her and after the message was delivered Elizabeth thanked him with a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note. Aside from all of the Hollywood glamour, Elizabeth was a very sweet woman.

After Colin asked to meet her and the White Diamonds star accepted, the two started an epic friendship. They would often have early morning conversations since they both shared a mutual insomnia. Colin and Elizabeth had a great connection, which flourished into a true friendship of about two years. "I just adored her ... she was a spectacular, spectacular woman". Farrell attended her funeral when he eulogized the actress with a poem.

It's incredible to know that they managed to keep their friendship so under wraps. Can you have imagined the "talk" this couple would have stirred? The age difference would have been recognizable, but the truth behind their chemistry would have been as real as their love. Aw, that actually would have been refreshing -- "the bad boy" and "The Queen."
