Last week's episode of ABC’s “Revenge” was the last episode -- barring flashbacks -- for Madeleine Stowe’s character, Victoria.

The next episode, appropriately called “Aftermath,” sees Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) going through the literal and metaphorical wreckage of her life.

As reported by Spoilers Guide, even her closest friends will worry that she has finally gone too far in her quest for vengeance.

Stowe spoke to TVLine about her character’s fate, saying: “People have different theories about it all, but one thing you need to remember is that Victoria has displayed that she’s suicidal.”

“There’s always been a bit of a death wish in her. She has a history of that, so this shouldn’t be a complete surprise,” emphasized the 56-year-old star of such cult films as “12 Monkeys” and “Short Cuts.”

And according to the actress, she has been ready and waiting for her character's end since the first year of the show.

“Here’s the background on this: I’m very story centric, and I felt strongly at different junctures that there were perfect opportunities to end Victoria’s story -- once at the end of Season 1, but nobody wanted to do that.”

She wanted to kill off her own character again in Season 3, and then had a long discussion with the writers and executives, saying, “What is a compelling reason to bring her back, aside from just to bring her back? This is a perfect ending right here. It satisfies something for the audience; Emily got her revenge, put her adversary in the rubber room and Conrad’s gone.”

Everybody felt there was still more story to tell so they waited around until now and it has finally happened.

"Aftermath," the 21st episode of the Season 4 of "Revenge" airs April 26 on ABC.
