Disney has announced the lineup for the D23 Expo held in August.

The Disney event, which is held in Anaheim, will showcase previews from the upcoming Marvel and Star Wars films. The event will start with the annual Disney Legends Awards Ceremony hosted by Disney Chairman Bob Iger.

Once the ceremony is over fans will get a sneak peak of Disney's upcoming slate from Disney Animation and Pixar. These films will likely include "The Good Dinosaur" and "Finding Dory." Disney will most likely also speak about their film "Inside Out," which, by the time the event is held, will already be a box office hit.

The second day of the conference will preview Disney's upcoming slate of live-action films, including those from Marvel and Lucasfilm. The studio will most likely show the first footage of "Captain America: Civil War," "Doctor Strange" and "Star Wars: Episode VII." It is also likely that new details about the spinoffs will be announced and perhaps information of "Episode VIII" will be disclosed. Additionally it is likely the cast of these films will attend in order to build buzz. However, no official announcements have been made. Expect those announcements to happen a week before the actual event.

The event will also likely announce the plans for the Star Wars amusement park, which has been talked about in the past few weeks.

With the event showcasing these films, it is likely that Disney will avoid comic-con, as it is held only days before D23.

The main event will take place in the newly created Hall D23, which seats 7,500 people and is located in Hall D. The hall was built to ensure that more people could attend the event. Tickets have already gone on sale and are likely to sell out in the coming weeks.

D23 will take place Aug. 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
