NBC's "Chicago Fire" season finale ended in a cliffhanger Tuesday night, leaving viewers with so many questions.

Viewers may not have to wait until the next season to have some of their questions answered. According to TVLine, the show's spinoff "Chicago P.D." will feature a storyline that tells what happens next.

"That's what we're dealing with now that staggered start," Executive Producer Matt Olmstead said. "Obviously, both shows exist in the same universe. We'd definitely have to deal with any kind of cliffhangers on the first one up."

In the season finale, Dawson (Monica Raymund) took a pregnancy test but the results were not revealed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

When Dawson went to look for Casey (Jesse Spencer) to tell him the news, he was nowhere to be found and strip club employee Katia was dead.

Olmstead said showrunners are still figuring out what will happen next.

"But the stone that we dropped in the pond so to speak at the end of the season -- the mere fact that we're in the room having a robust discussion about what those ramifications could be was a good sign that we're on to something," he said.

Antonio and Voigt from "Chicago P.D." played an important role in "Chicago Fire's" Casey twist, TVLine noted.

Casey may have been kidnapped or he could have been framed for Katia's death although Olmstead did not reveal exact details on what's in store for Season 4. He went to the strip club to ask for help. Where is Casey now? Who killed Katia?

Is Dawson really pregnant? If she is, will that bring her and Casey back together?

Some questions will be answered in the show's spinoff. Tune in to NBC in November for the return of "Chicago Fire" for more.
