NBA 2K14 is going through its first bumpy period as connection issues continue to plague the popular NBA basketball simulation from 2K Sports.

Ronnie 2K has been very active on Twitter throughout the weekend and into today as the game undergoes changes from a holiday update that was said to address a number of glitches and issues. The latest problem, which mostly concerns server issues with online gameplay, was the topic of Ronnie 2K's comments and updates today on Twitter.

Below you can find some of the tweets released by Ronnie 2K in just the last day as he works with developers to try and solve all of the issues.

"Dev is continuing to work on MyTEAM and private matchmaking concerns that have lingered after last night. Keep you updated."

"Xbox One players, just need to know whether you are having any issues playing online only (head to head) #NBA2K14 games. Thank you."

"Old gen Online Association should be back up. Next gen MyTEAM should be getting back to normal within next few hours."

"We are continuing to monitor all your feedback. Thanks for all the comments the past few days."

Gamers should be optimistic and expect the problems to be solved rather quickly considering the game's popularity. It was ranked the best selling next-gen sports game, which is impressive considering the competition it faces with other games released in or around the same season, such as the Madden series. The NHL games also make things even more difficult for competitors.

At any rate, Keep an eye on Ronnie 2K's Twitter page for all of the latest information.
