To those of you who are looking to spend New Years Eve with a bowl of popcorn and hours of classic films on Netflix: Enjoy it while it lasts.

The popular online video streaming company, which also allows customers to rent DVDs, is going to be deleting a number of popular films when we turn our calendars to 2014. Among the films that will be removed from Netflix include Titanic, Top Gun, and select seasons of Saturday Night Live, according to CNN.

A company spokesperson informed CNN that titles are often shifted in and out based on their licensing contracts. The good news is that obsessive Titanic or Top Gun fans will still be able to rent the titles via DVD, according to CNN.

Some viewers have seen the aforementioned films time and time again and the argument could be made that new, fresh content is well overdue at Netflix. Perhaps the most obvious choice for additions to Netflix would be the final episodes of Breaking Bad, which aired its finale this past fall. The show became extremely popular -- thanks to Netflix -- and the first five seasons are currently on the website. However, the handful of final episodes -- which basically makes for a sixth season -- have yet to be posted on Netflix. The show can be purchased via Amazon Instant Play, but obviously people have to spend twice their monthly Netflix fee in order to access it.

The Breaking Bad spinoff, known as Better Call Saul, is expected to arrive for Netflix users at some point in 2014. Naturally, we should also expect the final episodes of Breaking Bad to be posted before the prequel.

In other related news, Netflix adjusted its pricing package for users. The company is now offering a $1 cheaper option for users who want to stream Netflix content on only one device. The regular price remains for those who would like to stay on multiple devices.

Does Netflix need new content? If so, which film or TV shows would you like to see?
