New Orleans Saints vs. Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The game starts at 8:10 P.M. and can be seen live online via NBC Sports live stream

A local TV blackout loomed large leading up to the start of the NFL playoffs this weekend. Three teams hosting wild-card games this weekend had to rely on NFL extensions and corporate sponsorships to buy up the unsold game day tickets. But in Philadelphia selling out is a good thing as fans made sure their team wasn't the fourth team in danger of getting blacked out. They've sold out of tickets every game, every year since the second game of the 1999 season. And now they host the 11-5 New Orleans Saints for the first playoff game in Philly in three years.

Although they have more wins than the 10-6 Eagles, the Saints are forced to leave the comforts of "dome" and visit chilly Lincoln Financial Field. Since the Saints couldn't get it done versus a streaking Carolina Panthers team last week, they lost out on winning their division, the NFC South, as well as a first round bye. An extra game is exciting for the fans, but after a long season you bet the Saints could have used the rest.

With future NFL Hall of Famer Drew Brees under center and a powerful passing attack anchored by 6'6" tight end Jimmy Graham expect the Saints to pass early and often. If Brees and Graham can establish a rhythm they'll have a good shot at upending the Eagles. The airshow will have to replace the run game for most of the night. All-purpose back Pierre Thomas, who had more than one thousand yards from scrimmage, has been ruled out tonight because of a chest injury. Brees will miss Thomas' talented hands as well. Thomas led all running backs in receiving yards.

Meanwhile quarterback Nick Foles has something to prove in his first career playoff game. He leads the Eagles into the playoffs despite starting the year on the bench behind mobile quarterback Michael Vick. Foles replaced Vick in part due to inconsistency, but mostly because of injuries. Foles quickly became an elite quarterback. With pinpoint accuracy and devastating arm strength he carved up defenses to the tune of 27 touchdown passes and just 2 interceptions. Philly fans hope than Nick Foles can lead the Eagles to their first Super bowl championship in franchise history.

Analysts and fans just don't think the Saints are an outdoor team. What do you think?
