The Pebble Time smartwatch, the device capable of surviving a swim in a pool and boasting an ultra-long battery life, has arrived, according to CNet.

The Pebble Time will start shipping first to those who supported the Kickstarter campaign. Those who want to order a Pebble Time will be able to do so for $199.

This is the first Pebble smartwatch to include a color screen, which is nothing like the Apple Watch, but it's still nice to see a color display on the Pebble.

The Pebble Time does provide an always-on display that is water resistant up to 30 meters. That means it can be taken in the pool and it will not be ruined, unlike the Apple Watch.

The Pebble Time lacks a touchscreen, which means that some apps will be hard to use. However, some nice new features were also added to the Pebble smartwatch.

New to the Pebble watch are more storage, a charge port that can also be used for future accessories for the device and a microphone, which can be used to respond to messages on a connected smartphone through a user's voice instead of typing

The Pebble Time will vibrate when a message is received, display upcoming events and will run many different apps. Fitness apps, utilities, games and customizable watch faces are all capable of running on the Pebble Time.

The Pebble Time does not need to be connected to a smartphone to operate on its own, but it is advised for full functionality of the device to have a Bluetooth-connected smartphone paired with the watch the majority of the time.

The Pebble Time uses four buttons -- three on the right and one on the left. These buttons are used to set the watch and interact with apps.

The buttons on the right side of the watch can be used to scroll through the events and updates on the main screen of the device, almost like a daily planner. Keep scrolling down through the list and special items that a user pinned to the home screen, like sports scores, will be displayed.

Most apps for the Pebble Time will be free and will look nice in color. Apps are capable of being run in the background, making fitness tracking a continuous activity.

One miss for the Pebble Time is the lack of a heart-rate monitor. However, with smart straps coming in the future, this feature could soon be added.

On Pebble's website, users are prompted to enter their email address when they click on the "Get Pebble Time" link.
