Bruce Jenner is slated to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair's summer issue in his first photo shoot and profile interview since he announced last April that he was in the midst of transferring from male to female.

People magazine reports the 65-year-old Jenner will appear as a woman and the pictorial will be shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, who over the span of her more than four-decades-long career has shot such famous celebs at Michael Jackson, Queen Elizabeth II, George Clooney and Lady Gaga.

Jenner went public with his planned transformation during a recent interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's 20/20. Since then, he has received much public support, including from the likes of "Orange Is the New Black" star Laverne Cox, the first transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy.

Overall, it's a busy time for Jenner, who is also slated to star in an E! Network, eight-part docueries chronicling his changing lifestyle over the summer.

During a recent segment of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce," Khloe Kardashian asked Jenner, "Are you planning on not being Bruce anytime soon?"

Jenner responded by asserting that his transition would probably take place sometime over the spring.

During his chat with Sawyer, Jenner told the host, "For all intents and purposes, I am a woman."

He later added, "People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life -- it is part of me. That female side is part of me. That's who I am."

Jenner has been married three times, most recently to Kris Jenner, with whom he has two teenage daughters, Kendall and Kylie.
