BFFs are not only people with whom you can turn to when faced with life's problems. They also seem to be very good sources for much needed love advice.

And thus, while the public thought that the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reunion was at least initiated by one of them, it was actually not.

Hollywood Life reports that Selena's BFF and 'The Voice' judge Demi Lovato was actually the first to consider the reunion.

Citing an unnamed source, the report says that Demi told the 'Star Dance' singer to take a break and eventually spend more time with friends and family - Bieber included.

"There is zero time table to return to concerts or movies. She is enjoying her time away from work and spending it with her family and Justin. This was spearheaded not only over her lupus situation but the more she has been talking to Demi Lovato who is on her own break really made Selena take a look at her life and realize what is important and that is to enjoy some normality while she is young."

Selena Gomez has reportedly been battling Lupus, an auto-immune disease for quite some time now. The 'Star Dance' singer has cancelled concerts in Asia and Australia for 'me time'.

The former Disney star is seemingly having a great time - enjoying a cup of tea with BFFs Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato over Facetime. She even posted a screen grab of the Saturday night they spent together on her Instagram account.

Selena and JB were spotted in the Oaks segway-ing together and causing traffic. Justin then uploaded a photo of him and Selena cuddled together on Instagram.

Both Selena and JB have yet to confirm to media and to their fans, Jelena or not, regarding their supposed reunion. Though Selena is enjoying her vacay, JB has been quite busy with his 'Complete My Journals' album released December 23.
