Kevin Love will finally be back on the hardwood floors after recovering from a season-ending shoulder injury.

The basketball player, himself, was the one who confirmed that he will be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers even if he has the option to become a free agent in the offseason.

“I truly have not even though about it,” Love told the press on Sunday, as reported by ESPN. “But, as I mentioned, I expect to be suiting up by Game 1 of next year.” Plus, he also shared that he's very “happy with how things are progressing” with regards to his injured shoulder, which is a hint that his fans will have a lot to look forward to when he returns.

The power forward dislocated his shoulder during the fourth game of the team’s first-round series against the Boston Celtics. Kelly Olynyk pulled down hard on Love’s arm, which pulled it out of its socket. After the league reviewed the incident, Olynyk was given a one-game suspension, which he will serve when next season begins.

Discussions about Love either deciding to leave the Cavs or return to the team have actually only recently started since he only has one year left in his contract, which would pay him $16.7 million for the next season. He initially had until June 30 to decide if he wants to negotiate a new five-year contract with the Cavs or if he wants to test out the free agent market.

His confirmation that he will be playing for the Cavs once again came when a reporter asked him if he will be wearing the Cleveland uniform, and he only responded with, “Yes, Sir.”

Apart from Love, another player will also be back to the court, but not to play. Fred Hoiberg, the coach of Iowa State, is reportedly in negotiations with the management team of Chicago Bulls for a head coach position, according to another ESPN report.

An ESPN insider revealed that Hoiberg will actually meet up with the Bulls on Monday in order to seal a deal. The contract may not have been completed just yet, but a number of ESPN sources have confirmed that the feeling from within the Bulls is that the deal is done, and that Hoiberg will be the team’s new coach.

Hoiberg has been named a couple of times as the deserving person to replace Tom Thibodeau, who was fired by the team’s management on Thursday. Plus, apart from his skills with the sport, Hoiberg was also reportedly a trusted friend of the general manager of the Bulls, Gar Forman, as well as with the other members of the Bulls’ front office.
