During a recent interview with Us Weekly, Kevin Federline dished on his former relationship with Britney Spears and the friendship he's developed with Spears' other ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.

Federline, who is a former backup dancer for the stars, revealed that he worked with Timberlake prior to working as a dancer for Spears.

Once he and Spears began dating, Federline admits he felt awkward speaking to Timberlake, who dated Spears before him.

"In the beginning when [Britney and I] first got together, it was awkward and I felt bad -- I felt like maybe I should have called [Justin] and talked to him," Federline admitted.

However, now that neither one of them is dating Spears, Federline revealed that he and Timberlake have formed an amicable bond.

"We're cool. Me and J are," Federline said about Timberlake. "I actually just went to his last show in Vegas and hung out with him, got to see a lot of old friends."

He added, " I'm friends with all the security guys. [They're] great, they're incredible. We've actually -- guys that work with him have worked with us and still work with me, still to this day. You know everybody, you're friends with everybody. And yeah, me and J are cool."

Federline also revealed that his friend is Timberlake's choreographer. Now that he and Timberlake are older and have moved on with their lives, Federline said that its easier for them to maintain a friendship.

"My best friend is his choreographer so we have mutual friends, and I mean, we've gone out golfing, we've hung out. You get older, you grow up, and you realize that was just a time in your life. S--t happens," Federline explained.

Since breaking up, Federline and Spears have moved on and are dating other people.

Federline has reportedly been married to volleyball player Victoria Prince since August 2013, and Spears is currently dating Charlie Ebersol.
