Jessica Lange's absence in the upcoming "American Horror Story" panel at the Comic Con 2015 will surely be felt by fans.

Lange, who starred in season 1 as an overly protective mother, in season 2 as a crazy mother superior in an asylum, in season 3 as a delusional head witch, and in season 4 as a desperate, singing ring master confirmed that she won't be returning in "American Horror Story: Hotel."

The veteran actress raked in numerous awards when she effectively portrayed characters for Ryan Murphy's show, namely two Emmys, a Screen Actor Guild award, and a Golden Globe. That said, the actress’s decision to exit the highly watched FX horror anthology was very shocking, especially to the show’s fan base.

“I mean, they will continue,” Lange told Deadline. “It will be great. When I originally agreed to do this, it was for one season. I thought, ‘This will be interesting to try this.’ I have never done this kind of television before.”

Apparently, what hooked her to being part of the show for four seasons was that she “had such a great time doing it the first year.”

“I have no regrets or second thoughts about that decision,” she added. “They wrote such characters for me – so diverse and wild. They gave me so much to do every season in a time in my career where that is the exception, not the rule anymore.”

“But, there is always an end to everything,” Lange shared.

"AHS" celebrities who will be part of the much awaited fan gathering at the Comic Con hosted by Tim Stack will be Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, and Evan Peters, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Peters, who played the lobster-handed Jimmy Darling in “Freak Show,” also opened up about the time that Murphy approached him to be part of the “American Horror Story.” Apparently, when he first got the offer, he had no idea that the project was going to be as big as "it ended up being."

“Ryan Murphy called me and asked me if I wanted to do season 2 and said, “Do you want to be a different character? It is going to be a whole new story,’" Peters told The Hollywood Reporter. "That is a huge draw because you do not get pigeonholed."

Since the show's pilot season, Peters had already played four characters - each of which were very different with one another. With regards to the upcoming “American Horror Story: Hotel,” Peters said he wants to portray “something totally scandalous" and "real f*cked up."
