Comic book fans of the upcoming NBC series, "Heroes Reborn," are in for exciting news. Titan Publishing has recently announced that it will come out with a comic book series companion for the popular rebooted show through its Titan Comics line.

Titan Comics was successful in securing the licensing rights of the upcoming show, "Heroes Reborn." It is set to come out with a comic book tie-in for series that intends to delve into the backstory of the new show.

"Our new 'Heroes' series is being created in close collaboration with the team behind the NBC show," Titan Comics Publishing Director Chris Teather said in the company's official statement. "These aren't just comics; they're bonus episodes!," he added.

It is not yet clear how the comic book's story arc will fit in with the new series, but it was revealed that it has a lot to do with one of the show's newest characters. The comics intend to explore the origin story of the character as a companion read to the new series.

The comics will start as a five-issue series, but it is still unknown if Titan Publishing plans to develop more issues in the future. The show's supervising producer Seamus Fahey and Zach Craley have teamed up to pen the comics. Renowned artist Rubine will do the Illustrations.

It is not the first time that a comic book series will be made for Tim Kring's "Heroes."

DC Entertainment already came out with a series of graphic novels based on the original webcomics that was done for "Heroes," with Craley penning some of the works,  wrote The Hollywood Reporter. On the other hand, the new venture will be Fahey's second comic book adaptation project after "Battlestar Galactica," added THR.

The comic book companion to "Heroes Reborn" will come out in October 2015, alongside the show's fall premier.

The new series from NBC will not be a direct sequel to the original "Heroes" show but it will develop the story and reconnect it with some of its elements in a 13-episode premiere season.

While not all original characters will return to the show, some of the famous ones, including Noah Bennet (aka HRG) portrayed by Jack Coleman, Hiro Nakamura played by Masi Oka and The Haitian by Jimmy Jean-Louis will be back on board, along with Sendhil Ramamurthy who portrays Mohinder. Cristine Rose will also be back to reprise the character of Angela Petrelli, Entertainment Weekly confirmed.

Actors Zachary Levi, Danika Yarosh, Ryan Guzman and Robbie Kay will join the cast as new characters in the series.
