The Android 5.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has already started to roll out.

T-Mobile users who are located in the United States are the first to receive the update, according to Sam Mobile.

Thankfully, the new update is more than just a bug fixer since the update sports some new features that Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users will be happy about.

With the Android 5.1.1 update, the Samsung units will then have a simplified exposure control system feature for their camera. The added feature will make the cameras function like professional cameras. This will give the unit owner the ability to make some changes on the selected focus point.

Another amazing feature with the Android 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be some improvements to the camera itself, as pointed out by Vine Report.

The Samsung smartphones will feature a new support system for saving photos in their RAW format upon update. This means that the devices' snapper can now take images that will have a much better quality, as compared to those that are in the regular JPEG format. It is believed that the JPEG format ends up compressing the data found within the image, while the RAW format does not.

The camera will also reportedly feature a new feature that can lower the ISO values of the images – settings that can be maneuvered to as low as ISO 50. This means that the user can manually take photos that have less noise and ones that will not look grainy.

In addition, the smartphones will also feature a new wallpaper parallax effect, as well as some apparent changes to the units’ user interface – just like the tech user’s option to get rid of the S Finder and Quick Connect controls form the notifications tab.

Apart from new features that are related to the camera, the device’s performances have also been largely improved.

Just like all the software updates that have already been rolled out, the Android 5.1.1 update will also be available to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners via the over-the-air method. Thankfully, tech users who are not huge fans of OTA updates can also access the update – once available – through Samsung Kies as well.
