Born at 15 pounds and 7 ounces, baby George King holds the record for the second biggest newborn ever born in the United Kingdom. The average size of a newborn is about half that size.

The baby was delivered by a natural birth to parents Jade and Ryan King six weeks ago, although the mother did experience complications when his head got stuck during the delivery and he could not pull his shoulders out of his mother's womb.

"That's when things got scary," as about 20 medical staff ended up in the room working on freeing the baby, Jade described of the dramatic delivery.

That sparked a big emergency for doctors and midwives, and baby George was deprived of oxygen for a full five minutes. Doctors declared that he had only a 10 percent chance of survival from that point. However, he was eventually delivered successfully and transferred to another hospital for specialist care where he stayed for more than four weeks after his birth in order to recover.

However, the baby is during fine now, though Mr. and Mrs. King say that George cannot fit any of his newborn baby clothes or diapers that they had prepared for him. Instead, they dress him in clothing for babies about 4 to 6 months old. He has only gained one more pound since being born.

Jade told BBC that she is not considering having more children now and is instead focusing on her first child which she described as a miracle.
