Actor José Ron opened up about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Irán Castillo, to Javier Poza.

The telenovela star revealed that it was Castillo that ended the relationship and not him as people assume.

According to La Opinión, the couple, who ended their relationship earlier this year, have been the talk of speculation that cheating was involved.

The Mexican telenovela star said that the two have a friendly relationship and are on good terms, even after the breakup. He cleared up the rumours that he did not leave Castillo for actress and model Livia Brito.

"Livia and I are friends," said Ron. "We met and have each other's company at a very important time for both of us. People know that I was in love, but they also think that I left Irán for Livia or for someone else but that's not the case. I was excited [about the relationship] with all my heart. My heart was cut. I was finished."

Although it was a painful moment for Ron, he only has positive things to say about her.

"She is a great woman and I am glad I had the chance to get to know her because she shared her life, her family, and herself. I adore her," he said. "I am always going to adore her and I am always going to wish her the best, for her and her family."

The actor also discussed whats to come for the finale of his telenovela "Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse." He said that the finale, which is set to air June 21 in Mexico, will include plenty of surprises and will be "spectacular."

"I loved this story," Ron said. "This project was nice in so many ways. I enjoyed it, it was incredible but everything that has a beginning has to end."
