With her distinguishable sound, remarkable talent and dedication to maintaining her status as a global icon, Beyonce has already established an untouchable legacy, and yet she just keeps on going.

The 31-year-old diva is featured on the cover of British Vogue magazine's May 2013 issue which is scheduled to hit newsstands on Monday, April 8.

In an interview, she also opened up to the British mag about her husband hip hop mogul Jay-Z and described herself as a "modern-day feminist."

When it comes to equality for women, the singer said, "But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I'm just a woman and I love being a woman. I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it's something that's pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept."

The hard working award-winning entertainer revealed just how committed she is to giving her all in her performances, and she has the bruises to prove it. "I'm always bruised somewhere - my legs, my hips," said Bey. "But you've already started so you've just gotta fight through it."

Beyonce revealed why she decided to name her upcoming world tour the "Mrs. Carter Show," stating, "I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I've ever been. It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, 'OK, this is what you were born to do'. The purpose of my body became completely different."
