“iZombie” season 2 will be welcoming new characters into the storyline. To take the place of the zombies who were killed off at the end of season 1, new ones will most likely be coming in.

Apart from new zombies, TV Line mentioned that Liv, played by Rose McIver, will also be meeting her father in the second season. After all, Rob Thomas, the creator of “iZombie,” has previously hinted that the show’s second season will be known as the “Season of Dads.”

Following the incident where Liv’s brother, Evan, was injured, fans are interested to know how he will survive and how Liv's relationship with her estranged father will develop.

“We might need several people’s dads in season 2, including Liv and Evan’s,” Thomas told TV Line. “We kept him intentionally unmentioned because we had not worked out how we wanted to bring him in or what we wanted to do with him. We have a desire to do it. I think we have a neat back story on their dad.”

Since Thomas said that “several” dads will be introduced to the show, there is a possibility that Blaine’s family will be included in the “iZombie” storyline as well.

More plot twists

It must also be noted that Ravi, Liv’s colleague at the morgue, was working on a zombie cure and there's a chance that the cure would work, prompting Ravi to look for bigger amounts of untainted utopium outside the morgue so that he could come up with more doses to cure Liv and the other zombies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Furthermore, Major and Blaine were not killed after they got the untested zombie cure. Surprisingly, it would appear that Ravi’s concoction worked on them. However, there will still be some unexpected side effects. That said, “iZombie” fans can expect these two major characters to return in the show’s second season.

In a shocking turn of events, now that Blaine is back to being human, he will reportedly be an unexpected ally. However, the fact that he is no longer a zombie does not necessarily mean that he is any less dangerous. It was mentioned, though, that he will be the lesser of two evils in “iZombie” season 2 and will be working hand in hand with Liv against the show’s possible new villain, Vaughn Du Clark.
