Wrestlemania 30 Matches & Predictions: Mick Foley Calls WWE Royal Rumble a Disgrace, Why?

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley bashes the entertainment company's Royal Rumble pay-per-view event which was held last January 26, 2014.

TMZ reports that while watching the event, Foley posted on his online social media account, "I've never felt so disgusted at the conclusion of a WWE (or any) PPV...Like many of you out there, I just don't get it."

Foley's anger at the WWE Royal Rumble was fueled by the exclusion of former WWE World Heavy Weight Champion Daniel Bryan from the main event. As a huge fan of Bryan, Mankind was so furious that he threatened to throw a brick through his television set.

According to an article on Bleacher Report, the Hall of Famer fired of more tweets "Wait...@WWEDanielBryan isn't even in the #RoyalRumble? That just kind of sucks." This was shortly followed by the tweet, "Does @WWE actually hate their own audience? I've never been so disgusted with a PPV."

But Foley was not the only one who felt disappointed with WWE's decision. Fans of the wrestling organization voiced out their anger during the main event with Rey Mysterio being the unfortunate innocent bystander.

Mysterio, the usual fan-favorite, received loud boos from the crowd as he entered the ring as the 30th wrestler simply because the fans were hoping the last slot was reserved for Bryan.

Also, Bryan's real-life girlfriend and WWE Diva Brie Bella of the Bella Twins posted on her Twitter account, "Daniel Bryan should have been in the #royalrumble He should be going for the championship! We hear you..."

On his Twitter account, the Ring of Honor star addressed the issue and tweeted, "Sorry guys, the machine wanted me nowhere near the Royal Rumble match. But I thank you for the support. YOU are the #YesMovement"

In an article on Wrestle Zone, Foley clarified that his statements were not meant to put down Dave Batista's victory in the Royal Rumble. In his Facebook page, he said, "Last night's comments were not meant as a knock on Dave Batista. I like and respect Dave, and am proud of what he's accomplished both inside and outside the ring."
