Bethenny Frankel has agreed to return for the next season of the "Real Housewives of New York," but at least two of her castmates won't be so fortunate.

Radar reports Dorinda Medley and Kristen Taekman are both being dropped from next season's cast for what show executives largely attribute to "boring" plot lines.

While overall ratings for the show are reported to still be lagging, Bravo executives are said to be ecstatic with what Frankel brings to the table and consider her individual return last season after a brief hiatus an "unqualified" success.

"Bethenny has already been asked to come back and she accepted," a source said. "It was in her contract that if Bravo made the offer that she would accept. ... The fact is Bethenny loves being on television. Producers are hoping next season Bethenny will let her guard down even more and fight with the other ladies."

It appears neither Medley nor Taekman will get that chance.

"Viewers just didn't respond to her at all," a source added of Medley. "Dorinda didn't bring anything to the show. She was just boring."

As for Frankel, not only is the Skinnygirl mogul certain for a return engagement next season; she is expected to net a huge pay increase. Frankel is rumored to have made around $1 million last season, and that is expected to jump closer to $2 million this time around.

Shooting for the new season is expected to start sometime in the fall, and producers are now rumored to be on the prowl for "two new sexy ladies that will add to the dynamic of the current group."

Whoever that proves to be, they will have to deal with Frankel and her volatile personality. But, as a source added, "They need to shake things up."
