26-year-old actor Zac Efron suited up and posed with his co-star Imogen Poots while attending the premiere held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Friday Jan. 27 in Los Angeles to promote their new movie That Awkward Moment which hits theaters on Friday, Jan. 31.

That Awkward Moment is a romantic comedy about the love lives of three friends: Miles Teller from The Spectacular Now, Michael B. Jordan of Fruitvale Station and Zac Efron from High School Musical.

One About Movies reviewer wrote: "Zac Efron's charming as the lead and has matured into an actor capable of actually being the headliner of a feature film not aimed at teen girls."

The movie from Focus Features is written by first time director Tom Gormican and cost $8 million to produce. It is expected to gross $12 million or more in ticket sales by Super Bowl Sunday in the United States and Canada.

The strategy may have been to give young girls an alternative to watching the more male-oriented football game this weekend but the actors say it is also intended as a "bro-mance" movie suited for a group of guys to watch together as well.

"Shows like 'Sex and the City' and 'Girls' and stuff are always told from the female's perspective," said Zac Efron. "I think it's kind of cool to get inside the locker room, how we talk to each other, our thought processes ... I think it's kind of cool."

"When I read the script I saw there was sort of an authenticity that I hadn't really recognized before in a script," he said. "It is sort of a romantic comedy, but, I don't know, there was no schmaltz or lovey stuff about it. It was about guys, it's about us, our perspective."
