Actress Eva Mendes is glowing as the newly announced face of Estée Lauder's New Dimension skincare line.

The beauty brand made the announcement on their website and featured a Q&A with the 41-year-old actress who discussed her beauty needs and some of her favorite things.

"I've always loved how I could transform myself by just highlighting a certain area and playing down another area," Mendes said. "It's probably what was attractive to me about becoming an actress -- the art of transformation."

Transformation is what the brand's New Dimension skincare line promises. The line caters to women of all ages and provides them with products to help prevent signs of aging by lifting the cheeks and jawline. Mendes recently revealed how vital this is for her lifestyle.

"When you're on a red carpet, you're photographed from every angle and you can't control that. But if you have products you love, once you go out there, you don't worry as much. It's a confidence booster," Mendes told Vogue. "I love the idea of a skincare routine and ritual. It grounds me no matter where I am. And obviously I love results. You feel the instant activation."

According to Vogue, global brand president Jane Hertzmark Hudis stated they chose Mendes because she is "aspirational and real at the same time."

The Cuban American actress, who has also served as a brand ambassador for Calvin Klein, reciprocated the admiration.

"I'm always desperate for products that help me look not as tired," she said. "Since my teenage years, I have always admired Estée Lauder, the woman and the brand. I'm excited to represent New Dimension skincare because I can relate personally to what it stands for - the power we have as women to take control and transform our own beauty."

Mendes, who shared the news on her Instagram account with a video of the new commercial, is the second Latina to become an Estée Lauder brand ambassador. Puerto Rican model Joan Smalls currently serves as a spokesperson for the brands beauty line.
