Samsung could be unveiling a new addition to their Galaxy Note series in August this year, which is just a month from now.

That being said, the people who have their hands on prototypes of the Note 5 can't seem to keep the device to themselves.

Rumors on the Note 5 began to permeate a few days ago as leaks one and two of the device first surfaced.

Now, a new batch of images uploaded on French website Nowhereelse is making the rounds online, Sam Mobile reported.

The recent stills can be traced back to China as the case enclosing the alleged Note 5 is that of "Nillkin," a Chinese case manufacturing brand.

As for the prototype's appearance, it comes with a metal framing reminiscent of the Galaxy S6. The back of the device sports a dual curved-glass design.

Furthermore, its base section contains the device's speaker, micro-USB port, headset jack, and S Pen slot, as one photo suggests.

Several predictions have been made regarding the Note 5's possible S Pen ejection system. If the leaks are to be believed, the Note 5 will not have an auto-eject system for its stylus, Slash Gear speculated.

Instead, it will have the same S Pen ejection system as previous versions of the Note series.

Note 5's possible software features

Another interesting screenshot caught the attention of several tech sites. It appears that the much recent leak revealed the prototype's alleged software features.

According to GSM Arena, the Note 5 will run on Google's latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. It will also be Samsung's pioneering device that will feature a microchip that is on the same league as those used in CPUs and GPUs.

The Note 5 will have an upgraded version of the Exynos 7420 chipset and will have 32-gigabyte worth of internal storage. It will also be equipped with 4-gigabyte of RAM.

Again, these are all speculations since Samsung has yet to verify these claims. However, they did hint earlier this year about what fans can expect from their products starting this 2015.

"It is expected that 2015 will be a landmark year for the growth of wireless charging deployment, as wireless charging stations will begin to appear in more and more public places. Samsung will accelerate to democratize this wireless charging technology with compelling smartphones. With our upcoming Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to enter a new wireless world like never before," Samsung announced on its official blog site.

Wireless charging was slower than wired charging a few years ago but the company has since found a way to improve on the technology's speed, Samsung explained.
