We will soon be getting our hands on a predecessor to LG's G Flex 2.

Yet, if a recent rumor proves to be correct, we won't be seeing it going up against the next offering from Apple, Samsung, and Motorola later this year.

According to MobiPicker, LG G Flex 3 will be out next March. Until then, the rumor mills on the device will constantly turn.

Currently, it is speculated that the device will sport the next-gen 64-bit Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm. This can be expected from LG as the company does not have a reputation of re-using older chipset versions in their G Flex line-up of smartphones.

One improvement that LG users can expect from the S820 is that it is supposedly less prone to over-heating, Phone Arena reported, citing research director for IHS Technology China, Kevin Wang.

It is interesting to note that its home button is rumored to function as a fingerprint scanner.

The G Flex 3 will reportedly have a 6-inch QHD display with 2560x1440 screen resolution. MobiPicker added that it will be equipped with 4GB of RAM and will be able to store up to 32GB worth of data.

The device is said to be fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera as well as a 21-megapixel main camera.

So far, everything mentioned about the G Flex 3 is expected from LG's third-generation device. The features are an upgrade from previous iterations, with the exception of its display.

It is unlikely that LG would increase the length of the device to 6-inches considering they dropped it to 5.5-inches last year.

The LG G Flex 3 release date also lines up in conjunction with the release of G Flex 2 in February this year.

While industry watchers await the arrival of the G Flex 3, sentimental phone users might want to check up on the latest LG product in stores now.

A few days ago, the company released the "LG Gentle," a flip phone reminiscent of the "Motorola Razr" series. One cool thing about it, though, is that it is powered by a 32-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset.

According to Tech Times, the "Gentle" has LTE support and employs the nostalgic T9 keypad, 1GB Ram, and 4GB built-in storage. It has a 3.2-inch touch screen display and it comes with a 1,700mAh battery. It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities.

The device has a meager 0.3-megapixel front shooter to go along with its 5-megapixel main camera.

Lastly, the "Gentle" runs on Google's latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
