Award-winning actress Gina Rodriguez may be known her role of Jane in the CW comedy "Jane the Virgin," but the Latina, who turned 31 on July 30, has proven she is also winner when it comes to making red carpet fashion choices.

1. White House Correspondents Dinner

The Puerto Rican actress attended the 101st Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in a rose-colored gown by Gustavo Cadile. The long, open-back dress included a bow-like detail. The star accessorized with an Edie Parker clutch and long earrings.

2. Golden Globes 2015

In what may have been her career-defining moment, Rodriguez stole the night when she won Best Actress for a Comedy or Musical at the 2015 Golden Globe awards. The actress also won the red carpet in a black Badgley Mischka gown with a sweetheart neckline. The gown was fitted and featured a sheer, fringed accent at the bottom.

The actress told E! Online that she tried on "7,000" dresses before making her choice. "You know what's crazy?" Rodriguez said. "I liked the second dress and it's the one we went with. After trying on all these dresses, I kept going back to this dress."

3. Latina Magazine's "30 Under 30" Party

The Latina wore a bodycon green dress by designer Narcisco Rodriguez, for his Rent the Runway collection, to Latina Magazine's "30 Under 30" celebration. The simplicity of the dress showed off the Latina's figure, but remained modest with hints of sex appeal.

4. People StyleWatch 4th Annual Denim Party

For the People StyleWatch Denim party, Rodriguez opted to wear a silk dress that featured a large vintage-looking floral print. The actress paired the dress with a dark green and navy blue clutch and nude pumps. The actress proved she could take risks and pull them off.

5. ALMA Awards 2013

Rodriguez attended The 2013 NCLR ALMA Awards in an Aidan Mattox dress that made the actress look like she just walked out of a fairytale. The dress featured a daring lace detailing at the bodies and a full princess skirt. The actress won her first ALMA award for her work in the film "Filly Brown." The film also starred the late banda singer Jenni Rivera.
