The 2015 OVO Festival in Toronto, Canada was prefaced by an Internet picture of Drake preparing for the concert while wearing a Free Meek Mill T-shirt.

The T-shirt was a tease for what came later during Drizzy's stellar performance on Monday when he delivered to fans the most muscled music he's ever made -- a pair of songs, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back" that blasted Mill dead-on, reports the New York Times. As the Canadian rapper belted out "Back to Back," the gigantic screen behind him played a slide show of memes insulting Mill, the images fans have discovered and traded on social media in recent weeks.

At the end of the night, Drizzy had performed a series of songs from "If You're Reading This" with a brief return to "Back to Back," followed by "10 Bands" and "Know Yourself," which reference leaked material allegedly recorded by Quentin Miller, the man Mill named recently as Drizzy's ghostwriter.

As "Know Yourself" drew to a close, dozens of Drake's friends gathered on stage to chant the song's chorus. It was a display of vengeance and unity, and possibly a warning.

The OVO host wrapped up his verbal assault on Mill by teasing "3Peat," an unreleased song dissing the "Monster" rapper.

It was Drake's sixth time hosting the OVO Fest in his hometown. The festival touted its usual local pride and special guest stars, but this year, it was also the place where its host got to settle a score.

Highlights from Monday's OVO festival include performances by Drake's idols, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. Future, whose popularity was jump-started by a Drake remix four years ago, made a surprise appearance.

It has been two weeks since Mill kicked off the war of credibility and words with Drake. Mill's accusation that Drake uses a ghostwriter did not seem based on a set of traditional values to the genre, but rather something akin to a schoolyard taunt.
