The return of Alycia Debnam-Carey to the CW hit series "The 100" has been a major topic floating around online since Comic-Con this year in San Diego. The surprise that she will be returning to the show, considering she has been cast in AMC's "Fear The Walking Dead," has fans wondering how she will be greeted by Clarke when the time comes.

Debnam-Carey sat down with IGN and gave them a few details about what to expect, which includes how Lexa feels about Clarke and what she expects Season 3 to look like.

One thing she said was pretty clear to her is Lexa still loves Clarke. It is something fans and characters have not been able to wrap their heads around, given she left her in a betrayal and their romance never got a chance to take off.

"Obviously things are not looking too great for Lexa on Clarke's side," Debnam-Carey said. "She's a little angry. But Lexa loves Clarke, that's pretty clear."

Lexa clung to her own people and saw the practical side of her decision. She grasped it and made choices based off what was best for them and being a pragmatist was what her character was about, according to Debnam-Carey.

"I don't think she's cold-hearted. It's just she's realistic and she's been taught to be that way. It's a very harsh world she comes from and she's had to grow up with a lot of -- that culture is so gritty and violent and raw and so she just has to go along with that."

Debnam-Carey also said, if Clarke had been in Lexa's position, she would have done the same thing. She likened their characters as two in the same. Both would do whatever it takes to survive and protect their own people.

But given the choices have to be made and neither choice is a good one, Lexa still left, and she will now find herself back with Clarke. The real question now is whether or not the two can mend fences and move forward. Trust will likely be a major issue, if they ever get to that point of course.
