Gina Rodriguez, Elizabeth Gutiérrez and Demi Lovato all spoke out about negativity on Instagram this week.

Rodriguez took to Instagram to silence haters after sharing images from her People En Español cover story photo shoot. The actress thanked the magazine for supporting her career and those of many Latinos in the U.S.

However, not long after she posted a second image and called out people who left negative comments on her account.

"You know what saddens my heart, is when you try and celebrate an accomplishment with those that have helped you achieve it and no matter what, someone, anyone, has something negative to say," the actress said on Instagram.

"Whether it was from the way my toes curled under to the way I typed my Spanish. We desire to project our own insecurities and hatred on another."

Like Rodriguez, singer Demi Lovato defended a magazine cover this week as well. The "Cool for the Summer" singer posted a message on her Instagram account defending her new Cosmopolitan magazine cover.

The singer was frustrated at the comments suggesting she cover up and because of the recent efforts to censor the magazine in general, reports ET Online.

"What these individuals who are protesting don't understand is that for the first time in a long time I feel incredibly EMPOWERED and the MOST BEAUTIFUL I've ever felt on this magazine," she said on Instagram. "It's so liberating to be able to show the world how confident a woman can be once she learns to love herself."

Telenovela actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez was a lot less direct when it came to her message on Instagram. The 36-year-old posted an image of herself looking at guitars on display and included the following caption, "People are like music...some speak the truth and others are just noise."

While the message is clearly about pointing that some people will say negative things that aren't nice to listen to it may not be coincidental. The actress posted this message not long after Ximena Navarrete spoke out about her rumored relationship with Gutiérrez's ex-partner, William Levy, which People En Español reported.
