Rosie O'Donnell struck back at Donald Trump after the reality TV star mocked her during the first 2016 Republican presidential primary debate Thursday night.

Trump, the GOP front-runner in the 2016 presidential race, addressed his longtime foe after Fox News host Megyn Kelly questioned him about the sexist and sexually suggestive statements he made about women in the past.

"One of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and don't use a politician's filter," Kelley said, according to The Boston Globe. "However that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You've called women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals."

In response, Trump interrupted her, joking that he used that language to describe "only Rosie O'Donnell."

However, Kelley corrected the real estate magnate, saying O'Donnell was not the only woman that he has called names.

"For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O'Donnell," Kelly said.

The billionaire mogul didn't specifically respond to the question and instead criticized the nation's need for "total political correctness."

"I've been challenged by so many people and I don't frankly have time for total political correctness," he said. "This country is in big trouble. We don't win anymore."

Shortly thereafter, O'Donnell responded to Trump's insult on Twitter, writing, "Try explaining that 2 ur kids."

Trump and O'Donnell have been beefing for years. It all started when O'Donnell called out Trump when she was a host on ABC's "The View" in 2006 during a debate over whether a Miss USA winner should be fired for admitted drug use. The debate then turned into a war of words, with Trump calling O'Donnell a "loser" and "fat."

Then, in December 2011, Trump tweeted: "I feel sorry for Rosie's new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with @Rosie--a true loser," reports CBS News.

"Wow u r an *ss," tweeted the comic in response, "in every way."
