In what appears to be a spoiler for an upcoming episode on season 3 of "The 100," supervising producer Aaron Ginsburg took to Twitter and made a comment that has fans nervous.

The comment was very simple and straightforward, striking fear in the hearts of fans everywhere of the show.

"Don't know what's worse: how much blood is all over set right now or that the blood belongs to a character you guys like... ‪#The100," Ginsberg wrote.

Having a little blood on the set is nothing new. To have a set full of blood and to hear it belongs to a fan favorite, however, casts the situation in a new light.

Nevertheless, "The 100," which airs on broadcast network The CW, has been a very heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat action series. The show has so many romantic and dramatic overtones in it that everything and everyone is vulnerable, even protagonist Clarke (Eliza Taylor).

Fans have to wonder that if Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) is coming back, maybe the blood belongs to her, considering she also has a starring role in the upcoming pre-apocalyptic show "Fear the Walking Dead" on AMC.

That is one way to look at it, considering she may not be headlining two shows at the same time in the same genre.

Actress Lindsey Morgan, who plays Raven Reyes, also took to Twitter and teased fans about episode 3 next season.

"My brain is all kinds of 'WHOA!WHAA!AHHH!oooh' after reading ep 3. of THE100!! This is NOT a spoiler ‪@JRothenbergTV , repeat NOTASPOILER :)," the actress wrote in the tweet.

The official synopsis for season 3, as reported by International Business Times, is as follows:

"For two seasons, the refugees of The 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains. There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won. The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving? Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race."
