Bethesda has revealed the new and upgraded perk system that players will be able to enjoy with the upcoming "Fallout 4" title. It includes 270 kinds of upgrades that can be utilized for a unique gameplay experience.

Bethesda's Vice President of Marketing and PR Pete Hines detailed the new perk system of the game in the recent Gamescom 2015.

"The focus of the team on Fallout 4 was to really play up the importance of the SPECIAL system... That it is really the core of the role-playing part of Fallout 4," Hines said in an interview with IGN.

He added that this system can be played in combination with the additional game perks "to allow for a lot more variety as far as characters that you can play, the choices that you make, and how you can make your character progression and development unique."

According to Hines, an example of this diversified system can be seen when players choose to increase their strength to 10 points, as this will already give the players an advantage in terms of being able to utilize perks that others who don't increase strength might not be able to enjoy.

Players may also choose their own perks for each level unlocked, giving them more freedom to customize their gameplay.

This new feature, along with the lack of level cap in the upcoming "Fallout 4," will definitely make the highly anticipated game of 2015 a very massive world to explore and enjoy when it comes out. Players will have no limit to the perks they can unlock as they progress to a new level.

Given that "Fallout 4" is already touted to become a huge success even before its launch, it has been speculated that Bethesda will soon turn its eyes to a previous hit, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," and finally make a sequel.

But fans should not hold their breath for this, at least for now, as it has been announced that it might take a long time before the developers at Bethesda consider their next project.

Hines talked to Dualshockers at Gamescom and said it will take a "very long time" before they talk about what they will work on after "Fallout 4" as the group is "100 percent" focused on the upcoming game.

Given that "Fallout 4" is yet to be released and DLC contents and modification support are to follow, it seems a good idea for Bethesda to focus on the game first and provide a successful launch before starting another title.

"Fallout 4" will be available to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in November.
