Telemundo has announced that television veteran Don Francisco will be honored at this year's Premios Tu Mundo. 

According to People En Español, the television host, who was born in Chile to Jewish-German immigrant parents, has made major contributions to the Hispanic community since launching "Sabado Gigante" in 1962 and will be honored at the ceremony.

Francisco, who was named to the Hall of Fame of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences Television, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and received an Emmy for being a leader in Spanish television. 

"Sabado Gigante," which is transmitted in 42 countries and has contributed to a variety of world charities, will end its run on September 2015. Francisco has interviewed a variety of world leaders like Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama and has featured so many iconic musicians and actors on the program.

This is the second time the television host receives an honor this summer. Francisco received an honorary award called Icon of Generations at the 2015 Premios Juventud.

Telemundo also announced that the award ceremony would be hosted by several familiar faces. Actresses Angelica Vale, Carmen Aub, Maria Elisa Camargo, television personality Raul Gonzalez and actors Gabriel Porras and Rafael Amaya will all be taking on hosting duties, reported Telemundo.

The night will include performances from reggaeton artist J Balvin, Farruko, Yandel, singers Yuri, Lucero, Alejandra Guzmán, merengue star Olga Tañon and more.

Guests set to appear include Adamari López, Angélica María, Gabriel Coronel, Daniela Navarro, Fernando Castillo, Maria Celeste, Ximena Duque, Ana María Polo, Juan Pablo Llano, Maritza Rodríguez and Litzy.

Fans can go to the Telemundo website and pick their favorite musical acts, actors and social media stars from 30 categories. The awards air on Aug. 20.
