Ariana Grande surprised her fans by laying down a fresh take on her hit song, "Baby I", with Japanese beatboxer Hikakin, Perez Hilton reports.

The two sounded simply amazing. It's as if they rehearsed the song days before the video was posted on Youtube. Hikakin's beats were spot on and provided the perfect background for the singer's beautiful and smooth voice. Grande even almost lost it during the middle of their performance when Hikakin, while beatboxing, sang the line "Baby I" with the singer. It appeared as if she was caught off guard by his talent but managed to continue her singing flawlessly.

Try to listen to the two with your eyes closed. It's like listening to a recorded track from an album. (watch the video below)

Grande and Hikakin's collaboration was from the singer's appearance on the beatboxer's Youtube program, HikakinTV, which was posted last February 7. Although Hikakin is not very fluent in English, he managed to interview the singer with the help of a translator. But it was a bit funny watching the beatboxer acting all nervous at the start of the show when Grande walked in and greeted the production crew.

The two discussed a variety of topics, ranging from the singer's professional routine when it comes to perfecting her craft, to how Youtube is rapidly becoming a platform for rising stars, to Grande's overall experience in Japan.

And if you're wondering why Hikakin was wearing a cat ears headband, it was given to him by the singer. They traded when the beatboxer gave her a similar-looking gift.

Grande arrived in Japan last February 2 and was greeted a sea of screaming fans at the Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Entertainment Wise noted. The fans got so excited with her arrival that extra security staff had to be called in to contain the crowd. But being the sweetheart that she is, the pop princess took the time to sign autographs and take pictures with her Japanese fans.
