Manchester United has been linked with Barcelona forward, Pedro Rodriguez, for quite some time now. In a July report by Spanish newspaper El Pais, Pedro was set for a move to the English club for a reported €30 million fee after Barcelona insisted on the full €150 million buyout clause of the Spanish winger.

The transfer will be completed by the end of the week. However, according to The Guardian, Pedro is reconsidering his move to Manchester United after the team's manager, Louis Van Gaal, is reported to have some issues with two Spanish players on his team.

The Dutch manager apparently had a falling out with former Barcelona keeper, Victor Valdés, who is a close friend of Pedro. Valdés was said to be upset by being left out of United's American tour.

Van Gaal said, per SB Nation, "If a player does not follow my philosophy, there is only the way out." He is known as one of the toughest managers in European football.

The Guardian reports that another factor of Pedro's reconsideration is the David de Gea saga, which is seen as a bad handling of his countryman. Van Gaal went public on the details of de Gea's apparent transfer to Real Madrid.

Spain internationals, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata, not being regular starters under LVG may also affect Pedro's transfer.

Pedro admitted before the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla that he could leave Camp Nou despite just signing a contract extension. He scored the game-winning goal in the 5-4 victory.

According to Inside Spanish Football, Manchester City is also ready to pay €30 million if their bid for Wolfsburg's Kevin De Bruyne fails. The city has several Spanish and Latin players including David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

Barcelona would still probably hold on to Pedro at least until the transfer deadline, per Metro. The Spanish champions are down by four goals in the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao. Their starter, Neymar, is also out with mumps.

Pedro is a product of Barcelona's youth academy La Masia. He has appeared in 320 matches for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring 99 goals, according to Soccerway.

He is also a proven winner on professional and international levels. He is a five-time Spanish champion, six-time Spanish Super Cup winner, three-time UEFA Super Cup winner, three-time Spanish Cup champion, three-time Champions League winner as well as a two-time FIFA Club World Cup champion with Barcelona.

He also has won the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and European Championship in 2012 for Spain.
