Madonna threw herself a 57th birthday party for the ages over the weekend, and things got so loud and boisterous police had to be called.

TMZ reports at one point the bash got so loud the homes of neighbors were shaking, prompting some to summon officers around 2:30 a.m.

But in all her years, if nothing else, Madonna has grown shrewd and cunning. Reports are once the cops arrived, they were rendered essentially useless. Someone seemed to have gotten word that they were on the way and had significantly piped down the music.

The website adds officers never directly spoke to Madonna, but as soon as they left the premises the music was raised back to a roar.

The very next day, the tireless singer partied with her four children and other revelers in a gypsy-themed outing. Throughout the evening, the "Material Girl" singer posted several pics of herself and family on her Instagram page.

The New York Post reports she donned full gypsy gear for the occasion, including a sheer long-sleeved top over a black bustier. She added over-sized pink and red flowers to her flowing blond tresses. Her neck was also draped with bejewelled charms and sparkling gems, and in another photo she posed with her eldest child Lourdes and captioned the pic "Birthday Fun with Princess #1."

Later, her kids gifted her with a French bulldog pup named Gypsy Rosa Lee.

The party guest list included Naomi Watts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Andy Cohen, stylist B. Åkerlund, and designers Jeremy Scott, and Dan and Dean Caten.

A source added, "Everyone sat on the bales of hay and later stood on them to dance. The party was still going as the sun was rising on Monday morning."
