Upon the release of the Red Hood Story Pack DLC, it was only a matter of time before fans get to play as the Clown Prince of Crime in the latest Batman video game, and a recent report has confirmed that the time, has in fact, arrived.

"Tchi6" has recently created a mod that lets players take on the role of a young Joker in "Batman: Arkham Knight," Kotaku reported.

In past games, modding up the Joker from Batman's character animations posed a challenge for modders. It would seem unnatural for Mister J to glide and batarang his way through the sandbox game while relying on his bare-knuckle punches and take-down moves to fend-off thugs.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is different since it has the Red Hood character in its recently released DLC. Red Hood is a double-pistol wielding vigilante ala Deadpool whose character animations include violent slams, bloody stabs, and shooting people in the face.

Naturally, those were the perfect animations for a Joker mod and "Tchi6" did not disappoint.

"Decked out in the Hawaiian shirt and trucker hat Joker wore when he paid Barbara Gordon that fateful visit, the character makes use of dual pistols to smack, slap, and shoot any and all unlucky enough to cross his path. He also has the Red Hood's gadgets at his disposal, allowing him to throw smoke bombs and hook thugs with his grappling gun before resuming his shooting spree," Game Rant reported.

Harley Quinn, Alfred and other Batman-related characters have also received the same treatment from code-savvy users tweaking the game's PC version.

The band of merry character mods is sure to keep gamers busy while the developers, Warner and Rocksteady, figure out a way to iron out some of the game's nuisances currently experienced on the PC.

Kotaku Australia previously reported of a leaked email from EB Games sent to its staffers saying the PC version of the game won't be fixed until September.

"As previously advised, we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won't be available until Spring [in Australia]. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released," the email read.

The site also mentioned that a quick patch has been made available courtesy of Rocksteady, although it does not do much to address major performance bugs in the game.

In the meantime, the video below is a gameplay sample of the Joker mod in "Batman: Arkham Knight."

Enjoy!
