Bethe Correia wants a rematch with reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, as she is determined to avenge her humiliating defeat.

Correia tried to become the first fighter to defeat Rousey in a mixed martial arts match, but the 28-year-old failed in her bid as the unbeaten champion ran away with a first-round knockout victory at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro.

Correia wants to do it all over again, but Yahoo Sports noted that the Brazilian contender will not get an immediate rematch after lasting just 34 seconds against Rousey. Correia needs to score string of impressive victories in order to get a title shot again, and she feels she will eventually get another chance in the future.

"I'm here and I'll fight for a rematch in 2016, stronger, more mature, we'll see each other again," Correia wrote on Instagram. "I wanted to fight you and I got it. I'll get that chance again and I'll have my revenge at the right time."

Correia also cried foul on too much media focus on her "suicide" remarks, which did not sit well with Rousey. According to Correia, the media criticized her without looking at the other side of the story.

"I was extremely criticized and judged by lack of respect due to a bad interpretation of the current champ," Correia said. "All that time I saw the real face of the current champ trying to pose as a saint while she always said publicly that she wanted to make me "have a meeting with Jesus" which was her true intention."

Rousey felt insulted because her father committed suicide and promised to give Correia a beating. Correia said that Rousey's threats to hurt her badly were not given too much attention like her "suicide" remarks.

"I'd never would fight anyone with the intention to kill, break their neck which is something there's no return from," Correia added. "I wouldn't joke about it, because wanting to kill someone is not caring about the pain their family would feel."

Correia has yet to think about her next move, while Rousey will likely defend her title again later this year against Miesha Tate, who failed to defeat "Rowdy" in their first two matches, but gave the former Olympian a run for her money during their showdowns.

Rousey is also expected to be linked to Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris "Cyborg" Justino if she successfully defends her title against Tate later this year.
