It seems that Tesla's dominance in the electric vehicle market will soon be over as other carmakers jump into the fray of e-cars. Audi will soon unveil its all-electric sports utility vehicle in Frankfurt next month and many are already excited to see how it will do in the market once it comes out.

The German luxury carmaker announced that its new electric SUV will pave the way for the company's line up of electric cars that will be unveiled in 2018, reported Business Insider.

Called the E-Tron Quattro, the electric concept car from Audi will be launched in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

The SUV will not disappoint with its design as it is styled with a "sleek coupe-like roof line and an aggressive athletic profile." Meanwhile, its built and size will be somewhere in between the 7-seater Q7 and the smaller Q5.

However, the capacity of the new SUV will only be up to four passengers as opposed to others in the market, which could seat up to seven people.

But what the E-Tron Quattro lacks in capacity, it does make up with mileage.

Los Angeles Times noted that the company will offer one of the "best aerodynamics" in any SUV with a closed underbody. Moveable aerodynamics can be found on the front, rear and sides of the vehicle. These improve the flow of air into the vehicle that results to a maximum range of 310 miles, just like other cars that are fueled by gasoline.

The E-Tron Quattro will be powered with a lithium-ion battery pack, situated below the passengers, which is the reason the SUV is designed to be lower than other cars of the same kind in the market.

The all-wheel drive vehicle will have three motors for better movement. Two will be found on the rear axle and one on the front.

The SUV was not a modification of any previous vehicle Audi manufactured. It was designed from the ground up with the idea in mind of putting one of the best e-cars out in the market.

No pricing details have been revealed for the E -Tron Quattro yet.

Meanwhile, Tesla is expected to launch its Model X car in fall.

The new vehicle from the car manufacturer can sit up to seven passengers inside with three rows of seats. The battery is said to be 90 kWh that will see the vehicle reach up to 300 miles.

Tesla's Model X will have falcon-wing doors that lift up when opened and will feature a spacious cabin as the battery will be located on the underside of the vehicle.
