Pop singer Becky G premiered her new single, "Break A Sweat," during an interview with New York City's Z100 radio station on Aug. 19.

According to Direct Lyrics, the radio station premiered the singer's new track, which was produced by famous music songwriter Dr. Luke, whose previous hits include Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer," Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone" and Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl."

The Mexican-American singer, who recently split from boyfriend Austin Mahonetweeted the premiere of the single on Twitter and was surprised by the reception the single received in just a matter of hours.

"Break A Sweat" will be available for purchase starting on Aug. 21 on iTunes. The song will be the fourth track to come from the 18-year-old's upcoming debut album, which is reportedly scheduled to be released by RCA later this year.

In an interview with Tribute, the singer, who is currently on tour with reggaeton artist J Balvin and will be headlining the Big Ticket Summer Concert in Canada, described her musical style.

"I would describe my music as fun and storytelling," the 18-year-old said.

"The style of the music is very urban pop but when it comes to the lyrics, I'm all about creating a visual. I like that when I listen to a song, I can picture the music video in my head. When you listen to my songs, you can picture what it is I'm saying."
