Google has recently announced the eventual launching of the YouTube Gaming site, which, according to GameSpot, is a dedicated channel that focuses on all types of gaming content including uploads, streaming, technical gaming videos and a lot more. The hub is available on all streaming platforms such as iOS mobile, Android and desktop.

The YouTube Gaming is an interactive place where gamers can receive customized notifications on the games they like and those they are currently playing. As for the live streaming of videos, a separate notification will be available to remind them of the pending activity.

According to Engadget, should the project pursue and the technicalities finalized, YouTube Gaming will stand to be the rival of Twitch, a subsidiary of Amazon that they obtained last year for $1 billion in hopes of preventing Google from buying it.

YouTube Gaming extracts live feeds from various gaming channels and delivers them to specific players who follow the games by posting the streams at the top part of their pages. The whole profile of the project strategically segregates the popular, trending and suggested videos.

An article from TechCrunch compares Google's YouTube Gaming against Amazon's Twitch, citing that the two channels are similar and are copycats of each other. Both channels offer the gaming world a wide variety of live streams and uploads that gamers can easily access and watch. Google formulated YouTube Gaming after losing the bid against Amazon. Since then, YouTube Gaming has based its content on what Twitch actually has.

Google announced the creation of YouTube Gaming in June, according to Android Police, and promised their fans that it would be available by the summer of 2015.

YouTube's history on storing uploaded games has been immense and highly used by a lot of gamers, who have access to the site. This is why the launching of YouTube Gaming is not new. It serves as a more complex and updated version of storing your games online with the added feature of being up-to-date with some of your favorite games.

YouTube Gaming will be available to all regions who have access to the YouTube channel. However, its mobile app version will be first released in the U.S. and U.K. regions.

YouTube Gaming will be Twitch's first rival in the world of video game storage and live streaming.
