Cue the broken hearts and laugh track as Hollywood heartthrobs and comedy couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie get engaged.

The "Neighbors" actor and "Mad Max" star gets in line to tie the knot soon, a representative for Brie confirmed to E! News.

Franco, 30, proposed to Brie, 32, with a beautiful sparkler designed by Irene Neuwirth, according to E! Online. The rose gold ring is one-of-a-kind with a rose-cut diamond and diamond pave.

The "Community" actress debuted her stunning engagement ring on the red carpet during the premiere of her new movie "Sleeping with Other People." On the other hand, her fiancé was more low-key post-engagement, sharing his joy with some buddies at Los Angeles dive Sushi Park, according to a report from US Magazine.

"He ran into some people he knew and they were congratulating him on his engagement," an insider told the magazine.

Neither Franco nor Brie has made a statement on their new engagement, but another celebrity close to the couple was quick to express his congratulations to the happy pair.

Big brother and fellow Hollywood actor James Franco took to Twitter and Instagram to celebrate his brother's engagement with the sweet caption: "Congrats Davy and Allison!!! engaged!!! I WUUUUUV YOU".

The long-time couple have been together since early 2012. Although Franco and Brie are happily planning to tie the knot now, an interview with the soon-to-be bride back in 2013 showed that she didn't always think she was going to get the chance to say her vows.

"I don't even know if I want to get married," she confessed to Elle Magazine. "I've never been the girl who's planning my dream wedding- I was always practising my speech for the Oscars."

The brunette beauty added, "I don't know that I'm the marrying kind... It's hard to work in an industry that changes from minute to minute and then lock into thinking of something as forever. It's kind of daunting. Maybe I just haven't met the right guy yet-that's the flip side."

Franco's next film is "Zeroville" directed by the older Franco and featuring a cast that includes James, Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen and Megan Fox, among others. Recently, it was also reported that he will be returning to reprise his frat boy role in "Neighbors 2," as stated on The Wrap.

Brie's project with Jason Sudeikis, "Sleeping with Other People," hits theaters on September 11, 2015.
